BENDICK MURRELL SPORTSGROUND
· The Bendick Murrell Sports ground is situated about 25 minutes north of Young, and 35 minutes south of Cowra, on the Olympic Way. It is a quiet, picturesque setting, with plenty of shade and parking.
· Young Dressage Association have purpose built the grounds for Dressage. With FIVE sand Arena’s, Large warmup Arena, sand around all arena’s, Large parking area, plenty of shade, two wash bays, two lungeing areas. Spectators restricted behind white fence. Plus much more.
· Travelling times (towing): Approximately 2 hours from Canberra, 2 hours from Wagga, 2 hours from Orange and 4 hours from Richmond.
· Stables: 16 rubber lined stables are on the grounds. These cannot be booked but will be allocated by the Organising Committee to FEI horses (Big Tour, then Small Tour) and A level judges who are also competing. Please note that not all FEI horses will be able to be allocated a stable. You must pre-book a yard to be allocated a stable. You will be notified if you do get a stable. Stabling also available at the Young Showground (20 minutes away), secretary – Mrs Pat Fletcher 63822079 for details and bookings. Alternatively – Cowra Showground 63421977.
· Yards: Large quantity of large/secure steel yards will be available –

$40 per day part thereof(Yards booking fee includes bedding (1bale of straw).
Yards will be steel rail construction (either permanent, rubber lined or cattle panels). They will be a variety of sizes, so please ensure you put the size of your horse (hh) with your entry.
There are also approximately 12 timber railed yards, mostly under shady gum trees which you are welcome to use. These are NOT booked, so first in, first served. Under EA rules, electric fence yards are not permitted.
· Camping facilities: No Powered sites available. Bring your own generator/ power source. There are toilets and shower facilities on the grounds.
· Full catering will be available for the weekend, in addition to great meals at the friendly local tavern – 2 minutes from the ground.— Hot/Cold smorgasbord Saturday evening, $15 per head. Bookings essential (02 6383 7203) (or indicate when you enter on nominate.com.au)
· Please come and enjoy yourselves at our Championships and other Events— we intend to keep improving our facilities so that events here are trouble free, safe and enjoyable. We welcome your suggestions.

ü Been thinking of competing, but feeling a little daunted??
ü Need a friendly, low-stress environment to get started??
ü Want a chance to practice and improve your technique ??
Come along to our "Break the Ice" day.
A fun, informal atmosphere (no jackets, no plaiting etc) and the chance to improve your technique and confidence.
Ride the test/s of your choosing and after chatting with the Judge and receiving your Test paper, take it to one of the highly experienced Instructors in a Training Arena for about 15 minutes of helpful advice and assistance on how you can improve your test. Then go back and ride the test again.
A wonderful opportunity to practice in a "real comp" environment but with no pressure.
Neat, tidy riding wear required and boots and approved safety helmet essential.

REMINDER OF SOME RULES (Please read the Conditions of Competition carefully)
· No more than 2 tests per horse ridden on any single day, no more than 2 consecutive levels.
· One rider per horse
· Only horses entered in a competition may be ridden on the grounds during the day’s events. If you wanted to bring a novice horse along for experience you must enter for a competition, even if you decide not to compete on the day ± THIS IS AN INSURANCE/LEGAL REQUIREMENT

Dressage With Altitude16, 17, 18 & 19 February 2012 Bradgate Park and the OC of 'ThinLine Dressage with Altitude' are excited to announce that their 2012 event will include a CDI-3* and a CDI-Y. This event will give Australian based Olympic hopefulls a final chance to gain a (MES) qualifying score for the 2012 Olympic games. The event has grown in strength and popularity since its beginning in 2009 and has become renowned for its Boutique European feel and friendly atmosphere. 2011 NEW Dressage Rulebook!2011 Dressage Rulebook now available onlineThe new 2011 Dressage Rulebook is now available in A4 format for free download. This is a clean, up to date version, with only the changes from 2010 being shown in red. All earlier changes or updates from the 2008 rulebook are included within the black text of the rulebook. The rulebook will be available for purchase mid-January 2011, complete with index (which the on-line version does not have). The order form will be available with a purchase price early next year. From 2011 onwards, the rulebook will be updated once per year with changes marked in red. You can view all Dressage rules and tests here.
